Yards Of Double Crochet!

I've been so busy working the last few days that I haven't posted.  I keep forgetting to take pics until the sun has gone down, and I keep hearing the best photos are taken with natural light so I put it off...and keep stitching.  I seem to be making yards and yards of double crochet lately.  The light brown is a rectangular shawl, the blue is a lapghan.  Both are based on the same pattern.  (If you can call it a pattern.  I just made it up as I went).  Sorry, I didn't take a pic of the shawl unfolded...the other side is an echo of the first.  

As for the "natural light", I have a feeling even that isn't going to help my pics.  I'm just not a great photographer.
