Flat to Circular.....

I've made a couple of the World Vision ~ Knit For Kids sweaters in the last month and wondered if it wouldn't it be easier if they could be knit in the round.  So instead of making this one flat, I'm trying to see how it works if I knit the body on a circular needle, and then switch to straights for the yoke and sleeves.
Here's a link to the sweater pattern that might make it easier to understand what I'm talking about if you're unfamiliar with the pattern.  Normally it's knit in two parts, both a "T" shape.  This way it will only be worked flat at the top of the T.  This should help with ease in sewing up, and also eliminate most of the purling ~ so win, win :)

This pic was taken several days ago, I'll try to get another today to show progress.
Oh, and I have to confess...in this version I also knit the bottom border flat and then joined, eliminating those purls as well.
